About Us

Ted Folkman

For nearly twenty years, I’ve been helping people and companies through business, commercial, real estate, and other disputes, from advising to negotiation to trial to appeal. I have wide experience in Boston civil litigation, representing companies and institutions across many industries and representing individuals or families. I have special experience in helping foreign lawyers and their clients get the evidence in the United States that they need to win their cases abroad and in related areas.

I received my law degree with honors from Harvard Law School in 2000, where I was an editor of the Journal on Legislation. Following law school, I was a law clerk to Judge Ann Aldrich, and I have practiced law at Hill & Barlow and Murphy & King.

I speak and write frequently on private international law topics. I am active in my community, serving as the co-chair of the International Law Section of the Boston Bar Association, a member of the BBA’s Amicus Committee, and a trustee of Congregation Kehillath Israel in Brookline, Mass.

I am admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and before many federal courts. In 2018 I was elected to the American Law Institute, and I am a member of the International Bar Association. I am a proud Bostonian; for more than twenty years my family and I have lived in Roslindale, Mass.
